Hair today .....gone tomorrow!

Ok so I made a HUGE mistake! i went to a new haircutting place. I just needed some of my dead weight cut off, nothing fancy. So I went to what I'll refer to now on as "the chop shop" (I know, I know not very original). I went here because I didn't need anything fancy, just some trimming and some layering and Paul had *gasp* a coupon.Normally I don't do coupon taking places but in this lovely economy of ours I just had to bite the bullet and do it. Well when I got there I got a girl who took all of 10 min, yes 10 min to cut my hair. If any of you don't know my hair situation, I have tons! So it surely should have taken longer than 10 min! She blows through my hair shows it to me in the mirror and for all accounts it looks fine. I get home and take a shower to get those evil tiny hairs off of me. I get out grab the gel slap some in, look up and I have......old lady hair. I have a total shaped hair helmet thing going on! Usually my hair looks like a christmas tree(not exactly but you get my drift!) smaller flips on top progressivly getting bigger as you go down. Now I have something that is the same shape as my face.....round. Which I will tell you those two things should not match! I swear it aged me at least 10 years which 10 years ago might have been ok since that's when I would have been trying to sneek into clubs.....ok so maybe not...but you get the idea! Now I will either have to leave my hair in a ponytail for 4 weeks or have my mom try and fix it.......hmmmmmm. Ok, so the moral of the story I guess is you get what you pay for..... :(

Quick Updates!

Paul's birthday was alot of fun! These were the favors I made for the softball game portion. We had alot of fun playing! Paul's mom even got out there and played! We had a good time and enjoyed seeing friends we hadn't seen in awhile!

After that we went to dinner at Lucille's. This is Paul's new favorite place to get ribs since our Tony Roma's closed!

New York was Great!! I can't wait to go back! I think I am truely a big city girl at heart trapped in a wannabe city! If you want to see pictures check out my MySpace page..and if you don't have MySpace...get with it!!

I thought this would be a good way for everyone to stay updated on the Kanik 5.

Paul- is working away and playing football on Friday nights. Although after his game got canceled due to the smokey weather he will not play for 5 weeks! Which he has not stoped complaining about!!
I am very busy trying to set up secret plans for someone's big 3-0 birthday, no Paul, I am not giving anything away in here... Plus the day to day chaos that is our house keeps me anything but bored...slightly insane..but not bored! I am starting preliminary preperations for our big NY trip! Making lists as things I think of to take pop into my head "don't forget the phone charger"..stuff like that!
Haley- is on summer break and of course the second she was out of school the "I'm bored"-s started! I told her fine if your soo bored I guess I can give all your toys away...guess who found something to do! She is looking forward to going to nanas with her cousins!
Joey- we are trying to potty train! He has the pee pee thing down but #2 is still causing some issues! He enjoys playing cars and beating up his siblings..he's our little bully.....but we're working on it.
Andy- Andy is the one who frequently tries to give me heart attacks. He's our little Daredevil! He will climb on and jump off of ANYTHING!! He should be the poster child for Band aid! although these past few days Joe is giving him a run for his money!

We leave for New York on Thursday July 17th...we seem to have this tradition of traveling on our anniversary..and to go to weddings no less!! I will try and remember to blog some more before we go and hopfully during the trip!
