Holy long time no post Batman

WOW! I can't believe it has been so long since i have posted anything on here. Well ok I honestly don't think i can update on every single thing that has happened since last August so here are some highlights...

Joey started Kindergarten
Joey started (and by now has completed) Kindergarten. He loved it and rocked it like we knew he would! He had two great teachers and he is looking very much forward to starting first grade and being able to eat lunch at school in the cafeteria!
Paul lost 44 pounds and won the Biggest Loser contest at his office.
We joined the gym and he kicked butt and took names! We had already started in the direction of eating better but this really kicked it into high gear. We still get fast food every now and then...we are human...but he has not had a soda since Jan. I am super proud of him.
We had some very good friends move to Texas
Why you ask....good question....Our friends the Cole's moved to Texas for a new job for Nicole, better schools, better economy..blah, blah, blah. We helped them pack, we cried our goodbyes..(none harder than saying goodbye to Devin) and we sent them on their way. Now we wait patiently for them to come to their senses and move back...or just come back to visit.
I got hired by said company and have full time job that pays enough for daycare!!!
I got a job at the same company Paul works for (Genworth Financial) and I love it! I am doing file intake. It is completely repetitive and redundant but I like it because I can throw my headphones on and listen to my favorite morning show and then my music and blow through my day! The boys are in daycare/preschool ...Andy all day and Joey after school. It took Joey about 5 min to love it and Andy took about 5 weeks...but he loves it now and can't wait to get to school and see his girlfriend Ava (who is adorable!). Haley was going to the before school program at her school but as soon as summer hit we got her out of there and have found various friends to farm her out to during the week..she has also stayed home by herself but that just elicits phone calls to mommy and daddy at work from her saying "she's bored" ...yet when i tell her the list of chores she could do with all her free time she magically has something to do :0)
Paul and I got to take 2 kid free vacations
All within a 3 week period...so we fully understand if my mom goes into hiding for a month! The first one was a quick jaunt to L.A. with Our friends Todd, his g-friend, Victor and Sondra to see the Dodgers play the Yankees...we got to see Dodger stadium...which neither of us had seen yet...despite both of us living in CA all our lives. We stayed at a really nice house close to the water...we could see it and smell it but never actually put our feet in... We had fun trying some Food Network recommended restaurants and found out that Dodger fans suck worse than Oakland A's fans...a feat we had tough impossible until then....
Next up is the trip to Seattle for Paul's cousin Carls big 3-0...I am actually typing this blog in our room at Paul's mom's house waiting for him to get home from a midnight showing of Predator...I know...but at least it was changed to a guys only night instead of a big all inclusive group outing...thank you Aunt Gwen!! We plan to do as much touristy stuff as we can since we are sans bambinos. On the list is Pike's Place, Space Needle, EMP, Seattle Duck Tour, Cinebarre Movie theater, Mariners game (to watch the Yankees stomp them!) and whatever else we think we can cram in!
So that's the news for now! I will try and get on here more often...hopefully reading Kate's great posts will inspire me again as they have done tonight. *thought while reading hers* "hey I have one of those....."
