My new years resolution ( I know it's early get over it)...to set myself calendar reminders to update at least monthly....every two months at the most.
Family update time:
Andy started Kindergarten and after a month of having daily communication with his teacher (we love you Mrs. Sam) about his little ....quirks, we are down to incident reports only and thank god those are getting few and far between. He loves playing with his friends at school and being on the "big kid" side at daycare. He did phenomenal at soccer and was one of the best players on his team. He relishes his role as puppetmaster of the Kanik 5.
Joey loves 2nd grade. He continues to excel with numbers and has maintained his blatant disregard for english & writing. Joey also had a blast playing soccer. His team went undefeated the first half of the season and then 2-3 in the second half after being moved up to division 1.
*Side note* the kids of Fair Oaks must be getting coached by former MLS stars. They are spiking their water too....if you live in Fair Oaks you should have your water tested for HGH.
Haley is loving Junior High. She is making lots of new friends and is growing into the attitude driven diva we all knew she could be. (Aimee - HA HA HA HA HA HA HA - just wait!) I have heard these junior high years are the worst it gets, please god let it be true! She still loves singing and writing.
Paul has been kicking ass and taking names at work and because of that was given a promotion. I am super proud of him and know he will rock it! He continues to deny his aging and still plays flag football and softball 6 months out of the year. He coached Andy's U6 soccer team and after the first couple practices realized it is like hearding cats...
And now for numero uno ME! I also got a promotion of sorts, I moved from file intake to processing at Genworth. I love my new position and all the challenges it brings me. Other than chauferring to various sporting endevors for everyone I haven't been up to a whole lot. I am still doing PTC for Oakview although I am no longer on the board (heh heh dodged that bullet this year) I also joined our schools site council. I am trying to go to the gym as much as possible and now that we don't have soccer three times a week that should be alot easier.
thats the news for now. another post coming soon about our trip to Seattle to see Paul's family for thanksgiving and the two 13 hour car rides that were necessary for said trip....

No I didn't forget..
Ok lets be honest I guess I sorta did forget but hey life happens! So since we last ended our tale....
Andy has adjusted to Pre-school (thank the lord) and now we get to traverse the oh so rocky path of him becoming a "non-napper" *collective scream* yes, it's harder than one thinks! he's been at it for two weeks and like any addict is still having withdrawls. He'll have the occasional shaking fit where he's screaming "why, why why" and "just let me sleep" or maybe thats just how I am interpreting his screaming fits....
Joey is loving first grade. He loves having 2 extra recesses and buying hot lunch in the cafeteria. Paul's child through and through. He made it through his second year of soccer and learned some new skills and lots of patience. He is the reigning wall ball champ in the house and dares anyone to try and beat him. He likes to brag how he has major skills but I think it is more proximity to the ground and general agile-ness that is his real secret weapon!
Haley is loving 6th grade and we love her teacher. He for all he is worth is teaching the kids organization...which of course they do fantastic at school but not so much at home. She had a friend from school (who's mom is a friend of mine) move in right next door. That has been awesome although we have seen a significant rise in sleepovers both here and there usually with no less than three girls at a time...good think we keep Vodka and red wine on hand at all times!
Paul changed positions at work and is loving being the support person for the sales team (a.k.a the dark side). It's very challenging and lately has been given more responsibility...*cough* Don't blow it....we had a great x-mas. He and I got to take a week off after christmas to just hang..which is all we did because Paul was sick the entire time...but it gave me time to read 4 books and play on the computer alot..my farm has never looked so good :0)
I have been working, working, working. I love my job and the people I work with. I also have been given extra things to do and love being so busy that the days fly by. I have also been having semi-regular girls nights with the aforementioned neighbor and another mom friend. We all have girls the same age and it is nice to know I'm not the only one who loses my mind when my daughter tries to go out in 30 degree weather in a tank top! UGH stupid trend...I am slowly coming to grips that I will be 30 this year..and seriously toying with the idea of a tattoo to commemorate the occasion...I have a little time to decide.
That is the news for now..I will really try and get on here more often than once every six months I swear!!
